What It Is Like to Get a Driveway Quote From Us, Step by Step

Reviews & best of ·

Working with us starts with photos and ends with a finished surface, and you can do every step from abroad. You send pictures and an approximate area, we reply in English with a written quote based on approximately €15/m² + IVA, and the work follows six fixed stages.

What happens when I send photos for a driveway quote?

We look at three things: the size of the area, its condition and how it is reached. From that, we either confirm the guide price, explain any adjustment, or tell you that a refresh is not the right solution.

You can send your photos by WhatsApp to 613 656 443 or through the quote calculator, which also shows the guide figure for your m² straight away.

  • A wide shot from each end of the area.
  • A view showing how the area is reached from the gate or house.
  • Close-ups of the worst cracks, stains or peeling.
  • Any posts, steps, planters or drains that stay in place.

What does the written quote look like?

It lists each area with its m², the rate, the work included, the exclusions and IVA as a separate line. Any adjustment for condition or access appears as its own line with a reason.

The quote is in English, and we can also prepare it in Spanish if a property manager, administrator or accountant needs it. You can forward it to co-owners exactly as it is.

If you are comparing us with other contractors, the itemised format makes that easy. Put the quotes side by side and check the m², the coats and the IVA line first.

What questions might you have at this point?

The same handful come up again and again, so here they are with our usual answers. None of these are testimonials; they are simply practical questions behind a quote.

  • Do I need to be there? No. A key-holder, neighbour or property manager can open the gate.
  • Can I choose the colour? Yes, we agree it with you before the first coat, and it does not change the price.
  • When can I drive on it? When the product data sheet allows; we tell you on handover.
  • Is IVA 21% or 10%? It depends on legal conditions; the quote states the rate and why.

What happens on the day the work starts?

The surface is pressure washed first, to lift dirt, algae and the loose top layer. Then the cracks and minor defects are filled, so they disappear under the colour.

Next comes the cut-in: every edge along walls, posts, steps and gates is painted by brush. Only then are the open areas coated, first one coat and then the second.

How do I follow the job if I am not in Spain?

We can send photos of each stage over WhatsApp: the wash, the filled cracks, the first strips of colour and the finished surface. The Marbella reference job was photographed at every one of those stages, from the faded start to the dark, glossy finish.

If you prefer, the photos can go to your property manager or key-holder instead, or to both. You decide who needs to see what.

What does the handover involve?

We confirm the work is complete and tell you, or the person on site, when the surface can take foot traffic and when it can take cars, according to the product data sheet.

We also share the data sheet guidance on cleaning and maintenance. We do not give lifespan promises; we give you the information the product manufacturer provides.

If anything about the finished surface is not as agreed, tell us at handover or send a photo, and we look at it with you.

What does the finished result look like?

On the Marbella villa, the grey, stone-pattern stamped driveway, the carport and the garage apron went from faded and cracked to a deep, even, glossy tone, without lifting anything.

Frequently asked questions

How do I start the quote process?

Send three or four photos and an approximate area by WhatsApp on 613 656 443 or through the quote form. The calculator shows the guide figure for your m² straight away. We then reply in English with a written quote, or explain if a refresh is not the right solution.

Can I get a quote for my Spanish villa from abroad?

Yes. The whole process is designed for that. Photos and an approximate area are normally enough for a quote, the quote is sent in writing, and a key-holder or property manager can give us access on the day. You can follow the work through photos.

What do I receive after sending photos?

A written, itemised quote listing each area with its m², the rate of approximately €15/m², the work included, the exclusions and IVA as a separate line. If something in the photos needs explaining, the quote says so clearly, with the reason next to the figure.

Do you visit before quoting?

Usually not. Clear photos are enough for most driveways, patios and carports. If something important cannot be judged from the photos, we tell you and agree how to check it before confirming the quote, so you never commit to an unexplained figure.

Can I receive the quote in Spanish too?

Yes. We write quotes in English for English-speaking owners and can provide a Spanish version for a property manager, administrator or accountant. That way everyone involved in the decision works from the same document, in the language they prefer.

What happens first on site?

Pressure washing. It removes dirt, algae and the loose top layer, so the repairs and the coating bond to a sound surface. Crack filling follows, then the cut-in by brush along every edge, and then the two coats. Each stage builds on the one before it.

Will I see photos while the work is done?

Yes, if you want them. We can send photos of each stage over WhatsApp to you, your property manager or your key-holder. Our projects page shows the Marbella reference job in the same stage-by-stage way. You choose who receives them and how often.

How do I know when I can use the driveway again?

We tell you on handover, based on the product data sheet. Drying times depend on the product, the temperature and the humidity, so we do not give a fixed figure from memory. Foot traffic and vehicles may have different waiting times.

Do you collect reviews or testimonials?

We do not publish reviews or testimonials on this site. Instead, we show the real stages of the Marbella reference job on the projects page and in the gallery, so you can judge the work from photographs rather than from quotes.

What if I want to change something after accepting the quote?

Tell us and we send a revised quote in writing. Adding an area, removing one or changing the colour is straightforward before the work starts. Keeping one current document avoids confusion for everyone involved, especially when you are not on site.
